This Semester

The beginning of this year, I was enthusiastic about all the different topics that I would be learning about in journalism. We learned about ethics and Turner showed the class a movie called "Shattered Glass", and the movie was about a young, naive journalism that got fame out of the fabricated stories he published until it was discovered that all of it was a lie.

We got into using Skype to charge our interviewing skills. Then, learned the inverted triangle method. That is when you take a story and rewrite it from the most important details to the less important ones. Another lesson was about the different kind of leads there are. Some examples are, blind leads, scene setters, direct leads, startling statements leads and so on.

This New Jersey has a tanning problem, and she took it to an extent and now she is banned from Tanning Salons in Jersey. I think she really needs help.

How it felt to create my first blog

I'm so excited! I am so ecstatic about this, and very interested in it! I'm so glad that i'm learning how to do this from Ms. Turner; it's just so great, and with learning this, I learn a lot about posting and things.
